How to Use Chromecast
- After connecting the device, the user needs to download the Google Home app to gain full access to Chromecast.
- Open the Google Home App from your app tray.
- Set up your Chromecast device. Make sure to connect your mobile device or tablet to the same Wi-Fi network that you intend to use to set up your Chromecast device.
- Tap the Plus icon located at the top left corner of the app.
- Select Set Up Device and then tap Set Up New Devices.
- Locate your device. Once found, tap Continue. A confirmation code will beam on your TV. Simply confirm that you see the code by tapping the “I See It” link on your Google Home App.
- Next, you’ll be prompted to select your region (e.g. United States). Click “Continue.” You’ll be prompted to name your Chromecast.
- You also have the option to enable Guest Mode as well as to send Chromecast usage data and Crash report to google. Tick the checkboxes if you want to and then tap Continue.
- The last step is to cast content to your Chromecast. You can cast from Chrome to your TV or you can also cast Chromecast-enabled apps to your TV.
- You can cast an overwhelming number of contents to the device including some Chromecast-enabled mobile games, integrate other Google products like Google Slides, Google Photos, Google Play Music, Spotify, and more.
