How to Use Shazam
- Open the Shazam app from your app drawer.
- The first step is to sign up for a new account or log in using your existing Shazam account (if there’s any).
- Shazam identifies a song by creating a unique digital fingerprint to match what you’re hearing with one of the millions of songs in the Shazam database. Y
- To identify music with Shazam, tap, or click the Shazam button to identify what’s playing around you. When Shazam identifies the song, it’s saved to your Shazam Library.
- After you identify a song, you can connect to Apple Music and other music services to listen to your Shazam.
- If you don’t have an internet connection, the app still creates a unique digital fingerprint to match against the Shazam database the next time your device is connected to the internet.
- To have Shazam automatically identify what’s playing around you, press and hold the Shazam button. When Auto Shazam is on, Shazam matches what you’re hearing with songs in the Shazam database—even when you switch to another app.
- Tap and enter the Explore page to see all the popular tags from other users on the map, including those near you.
- Tap and enter the Chart section to see all the trending tags, top songs both in the US and Global, popular tags in different genres, and a whole lot more.
- Shazam also comes with a visual recognition technology that allows you to identify movies, tv shows, brands, and more. Simply scan the subject by tapping the camera icon on the app to receive customized mobile experiences related to those objects. It will help you identify the subject in just a few seconds and provide you all the relevant details.
