How to Use Waze

  1. Open the Waze app from your app drawer.
  2. The first step is to set up an account. Tap the Get Started button to start the registration. You can sign up using an active email address or simply connect the app with your Google account.
  3. You also need to grant this app access to your location so the app can trace down where are you currently located. Once done, the app will prompt you to your virtual map (similar to Google Maps interface).
  4. To start navigating, simply tap the search icon on the lower-left of the screen. Simply input your desired location or destination on the “Where To” search bar and wait for the result.
  5. Tap the destination and it will provide you the right way along with a voice assistant to constantly remind you of your current location.
  6. In case you do not know the exact location or if you are simply looking for a restaurant or a gas station nearby, you can search them by tapping the respective icons on the screen. There are icons for Parking, Gas Stations, Food, Coffee, Shopping, Pharmacies, Grocery Stores, Hospitals, Hotels, and Outdoor parks.
  7. There is a Speedometer feature that helps you stay within the speed limit. This helps you get an alert when you reach the speed limit to help you avoid tickets, and drive safer.
  8. Waze can also be integrated with Android Auto to act as your virtual assistant. You can also take full control of your music streaming apps and activate them using simple voice commands.
  9. You can also be informed of the latest traffic-related incidents from accidents to police traps. The Real-time traffic system alerts Waze users about oncoming traffic or road incidents. The warning will give them the option to find an alternative route.
