How to Use Zelle

1. Launch the Zelle app from the app drawer.
2. The first step is to sign up for an account by enrolling your Visa or Mastercard debit card linked to a U.S. checking account.
3. You can also easily enroll your U.S. checking account by using your online banking username and password if your bank supports this feature.
4. After enrolling in your bank account, you may now use the app to send money or to request payment from other Zelle users.
5. The main screen will give you access to three main activities you can do with Zelle; Send, Request, and Split.
6. To Send Money, simply tap Send. It will then ask you to add your recipient’s email address or U.S. mobile number, the amount you’d like to send, review and add a memo, and hit “confirm.”
7. In most cases, the money is typically available in minutes
8. To Request for money, simply do the same steps with send and input the amount of money you would like to request the sender’s details, and confirm.
9. To receive money, just share your enrolled email address or mobile number with a friend or person you trust and ask them to send you money with Zelle.
10. To split the bill with Zelle, simply tap Split. Select who you’d like to split the bill with. Enter and change amounts for each person and confirm.
