How to Use Files by Google
- Open the Files by Google App from your app drawer.
- Make sure to grant the app the access to your Storage to make it work.
- The app will prompt you immediately to your dashboard that features three main tabs; Clean, Browse and Share.
- Files by Google comes with three important functions. First is the ability to free up space on your phone. Secondly, it allows you to find specific files fast, and third, you can use the app to share bigger files to other devices even without an Internet connection.
- Tap the Clean page to access quick information about the total of space you have used, the list of available media, access to all your downloaded files, and quick access to junk unnecessary files.
- Tap on the Browse icon to search for a specific file either by inputting a specific file name on the search bar or browse the folders and their categories.
- Tap the Share icon to access the app’s file-sharing capabilities. It needs to be paired with other devices to transfer the selected files from one device to another.
- In just a few taps, you can free up space more quickly and easily than ever! Delete old photos and memes from chat apps, remove duplicate files, erase unused apps, clear your cache, and more. You can simply tap the Junk Files link to start optimizing.
