How to Use Google Hangouts
- Open the Google Hangouts app from your app drawer.
- The first thing you need to do is to create an account. Since this is an official Google Product, you will be asked to sign in to either your existing Google Account or create a new one.
- You can grant this app access to your contacts so you can find your friends faster. All your contacts from your Gmail, Google Duo, and even from the defunct Google Plus will be synced to your Hangouts.
- To start communicating, simply tap the plus (+) icon on the lower-right corner of the screen. It will then ask you to either start a new video call or a new conversation.
- Type and select a person’s name from your contact list. Enter your message. You can also add emojis, photos, or a sticker. Tap the plane icon to send your message.
- To start a group conversation, tap the plus icon on the lower-right corner of the screen. Select New Conversation and then tap New Group.
- Enter and select the names, phone numbers, or email addresses of people in your group. Tap Done and start the conversation.
- You can seamlessly create a group conversation and invite up to 150 People in one chat group. You can also make your conversation more engaging by adding colorful stickers, or emojis.
- If you have Google Voice, you can also connect your account with Hangouts for Free SMS Texting and Voicemail integration.
