How to Use WeChat
- Launch the WeChat app from your app drawer.
- If you are using WeChat for the first time, the first thing you need to do is to register an account. Input all the required details to register and confirm.
- Once done, you are free to set up your WeChat profile and let the app get access to your Contact List to see which of them already have WeChat accounts.
- In the Find Friends screen, WeChat will ask you if you want to Find WeChat Friends. If you agree to this, WeChat will upload the names, phone numbers, and email addresses in your phone to the WeChat servers in order to find your friends using WeChat
- To add friends in WeChat, you can either tap on Contacts or tap on the Recommended Friends option. Tap the Add button that you can find next to anyone you want to add. These contacts will be added to your list of friends.
- To send a message on WeChat, tap on Contacts, then tap a friend’s name and then tap the Messages to open a chat. Type a message in the message field, and then hit Send.
- To make the conversation even more engaging, you can send colorful stickers from WeChat’s huge library.
- To make a voice or video call, tap the + button, and then touch Voice Call or Video Call.
- You can share your moments by posting photos, videos, and more to your Moment Stream.
- You can also enjoy mini-games within the app created by Tencent.
- The app also features WeChat Pay that serves as a digital payment system (features in selected regions).
