How to Use the Numbers app
- Numbers is an app that is exclusively developed by Apple in response to Microsoft Excel. The app is made available for iOS devices.
- To get started, launch the Numbers app from your app drawer.
- Once opened, the app will prompt you immediately to the splash screen showcasing its minimalistic interface.
- To start creating a spreadsheet, simply tap the Create Spreadsheet icon. You can also tap the plus (+) icon on the upper right corner of the app.
- If you were able to save some previous projects, all of them will be listed on the splash screen. You just have to tap the project to access it. You can also manually search for a particular project or sort the spreadsheets by date or by name.
- After clicking the Create Spreadsheet icon, it will ask you to choose a template. There are over 30 Apple-designed templates to start with.
- You can freely choose any of these pre-made templates if you do not wish to start from scratch.
- Much like Excel, Numbers is also capable of creating multiple sheets. Simply tap the plus icon on the upper left of the current spreadsheet to open a new one.
- You can also tap the plus icon on the upper right to pick a new template for your newly created sheet.
- The app features over 700 editable shapes. You can also input basic elements like tables, charts, text, and images anywhere on the free-form canvas.
- Choose from over 250 powerful functions with built-in help features to help you understand each function. Use Smart Categories to see your data in a whole new way.
- Use AirDrop to send your spreadsheet to anyone nearby. Quickly and easily share a link to your work via Mail, Messages, Twitter, or Facebook. Export your spreadsheet to CSV, PDF, and Microsoft Excel
