How to Use Gmail

  1. Open the Gmail app from your app drawer. (Most Android phones already have a pre-installed Gmail app along with other Google products).
  2. Sign in using your existing Google Account. It features cross-platform synchronization. If you wish to create a new account, you can do so. The app also supports multiple accounts that allow you to manage all your emails on one platform.
  3. After signing in, you will be prompted immediately to your Inbox.
  4. Tap the Menu button on the upper left corner of the screen to access all categories. Your Inbox is sorted into three major categories; Primary, Social, and Promotions.
  5. Primary emails are emails from the people you know while Social Emails are email notifications from various social media like YouTube and more.
  6. To compose a message, simply tap the Compose button on the bottom right corner of the app.
  7. Input the recipient’s address in the “To” bar. (Tap the Dropdown arrow to input CC and BCC email addresses.
  8. Input the Subject and start composing the mail. You can also add attachments by tapping the paperclip icon on top of the screen. Once done, hit the send icon on the top right corner.
  9. Gmail also now gives you access to Meet. Tap the Meet icon to start a new meeting or simply input the code to join an existing meeting.
