How to Use Google Duo
- Launch the Google Duo app from the app drawer.
- The first thing you need to do is to sign up for an account.
- You’ll get a verification code on your phone. You can skip the phone number verification but you have to connect your Google Duo to your Google Account.
- If you decide to Verify your phone number, the app will ask you to enter your phone number and make sure it’s correct. Tap the Agree button to proceed. Duo will send a code in a one-time SMS message to the number that you entered. (Carrier text-message rates may apply.)
- Enter the code that you received in the text message to complete the verification.
- If you wish to connect the Google Duo with your Google Account, simply tap the Agree button to proceed.
- If you already use Duo on another device with your Google Account, sign in with the same account to finish the setup. Connecting your Google Account enables cross-platform synchronization.
- To make a video or voice call, simply swipe up to find your contacts, then tap a name to call. Choose whether you like to conduct a Video or a voice call by tapping their respective icons. When done, tap End Call.
- To start a Group Call, tap Create Group, choose contacts, and tap video call. You can have up to 32 participants in a group video call on Duo.
Note: Google Duo app also allows you to call friends and family across different devices like Android, iOS, computers, Nest Hub, Nest Hub Max, Lenovo Smart Display, and JBL Link View.
