How to Use Skype
- Launch the Skype app from the app drawer.
- The first step is to set up an account. You can use your existing Skype account or you can create a new one by following simple steps. Simply input all the required details to register and confirm.
- You will also be asked to grant permission to access your contacts.
- Once done, the app prompts you immediately to the home screen. Navigating through the app is simple and easily manageable.
- There will be three main tabs to interact with; Chats, Calls, and Contacts.
- To start chatting, simply go to the Chats tab, tap the Pen icon on the bottom right corner of the screen.
- On the New Chat window, there will be five types of conversation to choose from; Meet Now, New Group Chat, New Call, New Moderated Chat, and New Private Conversation.
- Tap Meet Now to engage in a group video call. The app will provide you the invite link that you can share with others by sending them the invite link or by manually adding them from your Skype contact list.
- Tap New Group Chat to create a group chat. Name your group, add members from your contact list, and start chatting.
- Tap New Call to engage on a voice call. Select a person from your Skype Contact list and start making a call.
- Tap Moderated Chat to start a group chat with modified rules and terms.
- Tap New Private Conversation to have end-to-end encrypted Skype audio calls, send text messages, image, audio, and video files
