How to Use the Southwest Airlines App
- Open the Southwest Airlines app from your app drawer.
- The app will first ask you to create your account or sign-in using an existing Southwest Airlines account. You can create a new account via the app itself. Just input all the required information to register.
- Once done, it prompts you to your main dashboard that comes with four easy-to-navigate tabs; Book Flight, Flight Status, Check-In, and Book Car.
- Tap the Book Flight tab to access the Book a Flight page. Here, you can tap the Find Flight button to check all the available Southwest Airlines flights. Input all the required details including your preferred flight schedule, departure time, flight class, and more.
- Tap the Flight Status tab to check your flight status, boarding position, and gate information. You can also request a mobile boarding pass through the app or through the official Southwest Airlines website.
- To Check-in for a Southwest flight, tap the Check-in tab. The page will ask for your confirmation number, your first and last name. Tap the Retrieve Reservation button, then tap Check-in. This also allows you to view your boarding pass in just a few quick taps.
- The app also allows you to book a car to make your travel stress-free. Tap the Book Car tab, find the car that fits your need. Start with the pickup location, time, and date. Then, refine your search with specific requirements such as a certain car company or vehicle type. To make your reservation, just provide all your applicable information including your name, Rapid Rewards account number, and contact method.
