Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY is the official app by Canon Inc that enables you to take full control of your wireless printer straight from your mobile device. Generally, Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY is a print and scan app that works seamlessly with PIXMA, MAXIFY, and SELPHY printers. This convenient app allows you to get rid of those messy wiring that classic printers have and you no longer need to connect your PC just to print your photos or your documents. With this app, you can print anything in just a few quick taps of your fingertips straight from your mobile device.

How Does Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY Works?

Using the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app is not as complicated as it sounds. You just have to install the app and set it up properly to make it work. Simply download the app either from the Google Play Store or the Apple App store to get started. Just make sure that your device is already connected to your printer either by connecting to the same network that the printer is on or by connecting directly to the printer with wireless direct. Installing the app allows you to print and scan on the Canon Wi-fi Enabled printer using your mobile device. Once done, open the app (you might pass through some Terms and Conditions agreement) and tap the Add Printer button located on the upper left corner of the screen.

Tap “Register Printer” and the app will then search for compatible printers that are on the same network as your device. Tap your chosen printer to complete the setup. This will prompt you next to your Canon Print Dashboard that contains numerous tap-based buttons that allow you to Print and scan instantly from your device. It is very important that you have a compatible printer for the app to work perfectly. Canon Print is compatible with most wireless PIXMA MG All-in-one Line up from PIXMA MG2920 to PIXMA MG7720. It is also compatible with PIXMA iP8720 Crafting Printer, PIXMA iP110 Inkjet Photo Printer as well as the PIXMA Wireless Office All-in-one line up. To top it all, the Canon Print also works seamlessly with MAXIFY printers and SELPHY compact printers.

Photo Print-One of the core functions of Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY is the ability to conveniently print photos directly from your mobile devices. You can easily print up to 20 different photos at a time. Just tap the Photo Print button, select the photos and you are good to go! To top it all, photo trimming is also available in this app that allows you to print photos in your preferred dimension.

Document Print-Similar to photos, you can print documents using this app straight from your mobile devices. It supports all Microsoft Office documents as well as PDF files.

Scan– With this app, you can also seamlessly scan with a connected printer and save documents and photos as PDF or JPEG.

Cloud Link Service– You can also link the Canon Print app to PIXMA/MAXIFY Cloud Link service which allows you to link with the various cloud services and print photos and documents from SNS or the photo-sharing site. You can also use various functions, such as saving scanned images to a data storage service, without having to use your computer.

Smartphone Copy– If your printer doesn’t have an LCD screen, you can adjust your copy settings from your device. Take a picture of a document with your smart device and apply an auto skew correction for a print and it will only take a few quick taps on your mobile device.
