Shimeji is a very unique personalization app by Digital Cosmos. This app generally transforms your mobile screen to have a colorful, fun, and interactive interface using its draggable virtual mascots. The core function of Shimeji is to personalize your phone by adding interactive virtual mascots that can seamlessly run on top of any other apps. You also have the option to turn these adorable moving mascots into a live wallpaper. Whether you are surfing the mobile browser or scrolling around your Facebook, you can freely interact with these cute mascots which give you a unique experience. Shimeji offers an overwhelming number of adorable mascots and most of them can be used for free.

How does Shimeji Works?

Using Shimeji is not as complicated as it sounds. This app seamlessly works even without any extensive technical knowledge from the user. Simply download the Shimeji app from the Google Play Store (apparently the app is not yet available for iOS devices). Once done, the app will prompt you immediately to the Main screen. This features 6 slots where 2 are instantly available by default while the rest can be unlocked by upgrading your account. Generally, users can have a maximum of six interactive mascots on the screen. Interestingly, the app features an overwhelming number of free Shimeji. You initially get free Miku and Neko mascots while the rest can be downloaded for free.

To activate the app, you need to enable the Shimeji. You can just tap the slider to turn it on. Once done, the Shimeji will drop on the screen and will start moving around. You can tap and drag them wherever you want them to be. To change or add Shimeji, simply tap the available slot (marked with a plus sign). This will prompt you to a long list of available Shimeji that you can download. Shimeji mascots are merely inspired by different iconic characters from popular anime, movies, games, cartoons, and other pop culture references. Just tap the “Tap to Download” link to activate them.

In-app Upgrades– The app comes with few yet worthy upgrade options like the ability to unlock the remaining 4 slots and make 6 adorable shimeji visible on the screen, new animation, and some interesting physics upgrade that allows you to interact with Shimeji in a more exciting way.
