How do Messenger Kids work?

Messenger Kids is actually a standalone app that you can download on the device with a core function that allows kids to safely communicate with their family and friends through messages and video calls. Unlike Facebook Messenger though, Messenger Kids doesn’t require your kids to create a separate or individual Facebook account. Simply download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App store to get started. Once done, open the app, authenticate the device, and log in using your Facebook account. The app will then ask you to enter your child’s name. Input the information being asked and you are done.

You can then head over to your account on your device and access the parental controls panel for Messenger Kids to set limitations, add friends, keep a check on what your child is doing, and much more.
