How to Use the Ring app
- Provided that you already installed the Ring smart doorbell at your house, simply open the Ring app to start the setup.
- The first step is to create an account. Sign up by tapping the Create Account button. If you already have an existing account, you can simply tap the Login button to proceed.
- Creating an account will simply require you to enter basic information like your name, country, active email address, and preferred password. You’ll get a confirmation message that your Ring account was created together with instructions on how to activate it.
- Once done, tap the “Set up a Device” option and select “Doorbells”. This will ask you to either scan the QR Code or the MAC ID barcode located at the back of your Ring Video Doorbell.
- If this is your first time setting up a Ring device, you will receive a request from your phone informing you that the Ring App wishes to use your phone’s location services to pinpoint your location.
- After putting your Ring Video Doorbell to Setup Mode, you can now connect the device by joining the Ring wifi network.
- Once the Ring Doorbell is connected to the wifi, you are now good to go and configure the doorbell functions through your device based on your preferences.
- You can also use the app even if you are not at home. You can take full control of your device and monitor any activities while you are away from home.
- Ring offers motion detection that automatically and instantly sends a smartphone alert whenever someone passes a virtual tripwire.
