How to Use ClassDojo

For Teachers

1. Launch the ClassDojo app from the app drawer.
2. Click on “Create teacher account”
3. Enter your email address and create a log in password, then tap “Create Account”
4. Enter your title, first name, and last name, then tap “Next”
5. Enter your school’s name in the search field, tap on your school’s listing, then on “Join this school.” Tap “I don’t teach in a school.” if you don’t want to join a school or don’t work in a school.
6. You can now add a class, explore the demo class, and more!

For Students

1. After your parent has granted consent for your account, you’ll be able to access your student account via the app. To do this, you’ll need either your class code, individual QR code from your teacher, your individual QR code from your parent’s account, or your temporary text code from your teacher
2. Launch the ClassDojo app from your app drawer.
3. To post a Portfolio, log into the ClassDojo app, and select Select “I’m a student”.
4. Scan your QR code to sign up or sign in
5. Under the “Portfolios” heading, click on the + tile
6. Choose Journal, Photo, Video, or Drawing
7. Once you have created your entry, select the blue paper airplane button to submit it to your teacher to be approved.
8. To save the entry to continue editing it later, click on the downward-facing arrow in the top left corner of the screen.
9. At the top of the screen, you will see all of your assigned activities under “To Do”
10. Click on the activity to see its instructions. When you are ready to begin, select “Start”

For Parents

1. Parent accounts can be set up with a Parent Code or with an email invitation. Both of these methods to get connected must be started by your child’s teacher.
2. Open the ClassDojo app and click the “I’m a parent” option.
3. Select “Create parent account”
4. Enter your email address and a password and click on the blue button with the white arrow inside
5. Enter your parent code and click “Verify Code”
6. Enter your first and last name, then click on the blue button with the white arrow inside
7. Take a photo of yourself or click “Skip” to go to your new parent account
