How to Use the Fitbit App

  1. Launch the Fitbit app from the app tray.
  2. The first thing you need to do is to pair your device to the Fitbit app. Prepare the tracker device you have. Fitbit is an app that you can integrate with various devices like smartwatches and more. Connecting your smartwatch, for instance, allows it to transfer data back and forth with Fitbit.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a Fitbit account and connect or pair your Fitbit device to your phone or tablet. Note that to create a Fitbit account, you’re prompted to enter your birthdate, height, weight, and sex to calculate your stride length and to estimate distance, basal metabolic rate, and calorie burn.
  4. Most Fitbit devices are preloaded already with a variety of apps including Alarms, Weather, and Exercise. From the clock screen, swipe left to see the apps currently installed.
  5. To install new apps, simply open the Fitbit App Gallery, browse the gallery, and pick the app you want to install. After downloading the App, you will be asked to choose which Fitbit device you are setting the app for.
  6. You can also pick the “Just the App” option to enjoy the mobile app without integrating any Fitbit devices.
  7. Fitbit App comes with different trackers for specific needs. You can use Mobile Track to record your steps and distance, you can use Mobile Run to enhance your daily run, walks, and hikes routine while PurePulse allows you to monitor your heart.
  8. Enter the Challenges page to access daily challenges and exercise routine to help you reach your fitness goal.
  9. Tap the Discover icon to access articles about Health and Wellness, effective Guided Programs for a specific fitness goal, and more.
