How to Use TikTok
- Open the TikTok App from your app drawer.
- The first step is to create an account. You can sign up using your email or better yet sync your Tiktok with any of your existing social media accounts like Facebook, Google, Twitter, or Instagram.
- Once done, the app will prompt you to your dashboard. It features four navigational tabs (Home, Discover, Inbox, and Me) and a plus button to upload new videos.
- The home tab features all the videos from the Tiktok community which includes videos from the people you are following and the “For You” Page that features some video recommendations.
- To discover what is currently trending, tap the Discover page that highlights the trending hashtags or challenges you can be part of.
- To submit your own Tiktok Video, simply tap the Plus icon on the bottom of the screen.
- You can upload a video directly from your Phone gallery or create a video from scratch using some of the in-app video editing tools.
- By watching other videos, you can also create one using their own music or effects. Tap the rotating circle icon on the lower right corner of their videos to access the music or effects they are using. You can add it to Your Favorite to save it for future reference or you can use the music or effects right away. Simply tap the “Use this sound’ or “use this effect” and it will immediately open the in-app camera where you can start recording.
- You can apply additional effects during and after the video was recorded. You can also edit the music, the transition, apply filters, add stickers, and many more.
