How to Use Pinterest
- Open the Pinterest app from your app drawer.
- If this is your first time using the mobile app, the first step is to sign up for an account. Users can sign up using an active email address or they can connect using their Facebook account. If you have used the web version of Pinterest, you can simply log in using the same sign in details.
- After signing in, you will be prompted immediately to the main dashboard that gives you quick access to your profile, board, and more.
- Navigating through your dashboard is simple and you just have to tap the icons to switch from one page to another. The feeds on your dashboard are generally the “pins” from the people you are connected with and the people you are following. You can also browse through various pins by searching specific items through the search bar.
- To add your own content, simply tap the plus icon on the upper right corner of the screen. Here, you can select which content you would like to pin such as Photos, Clipboard, Location, or Web page. You can also create a New Board where you can compile pins on one page. There is also a feature called Group boards where Pinners can collaborate and decide what pin to add to the board.
- To interact with other Pinners, you can like the pins, repin them, or share the pin to your social media accounts like Facebook or Twitter.
- The app allows you to save your pins and tag them as your favorites and you are free to access them at any given time.
